PASSION PROJECT - VAN BUILD
Along with digital design, I have a strong passion for engineering projects and making my designs come to life.
To enhance the camping experience, I bought an empty cargo van and converted it into my dream camper van which included all the essential features and amenities I desired.
IN THE BEGINNING
Since I had no former experience building out a camper van, I first had to make sure I could successfully manage this massive project.
To do this, I spent many hours watching YouTube videos, paying close attention to the electric/solar, plumbing, and heating.
When I finally felt comfortable knowing there was enough information out there to reference, I began the build!
PUSHING THROUGH
Each step involved ample research, measurements, sketches, and numerous rounds of iteration. A single centimeter off could mean wasted materials and having to start over.
The scariest part of the entire project was installing the heater under the passenger side seat, which meant cutting a hole through the bottom of my brand new van! Eeek!
THE FINALE!
Finally, after months of dedication and hard work that consumed all of my free time, the van build was complete. Let the adventures begin!
